Brendan Elford
HEAD COACH

Brendan was a competitive swimmer for over 15 seasons in the Edmonton area, ending on the University of Alberta Varsity Swim Team. He specialized over the years in the longer distance freestyle and butterfly. While studying business at the U of A, Brendan started coaching summer club; 3 seasons as Assistant Coach and 2 seasons as Head Coach. After graduating, he worked for 2 years as Head Age Group Coach with the Olympian Swim Club. This will be Brendan's 4th year as the Head Coach of Triton.  

Brendan's goal is to pass on his passion for swimming to all swimmers. He strives to help all Triton swimmers improve in all aspects, focusing on improving their skills and speed in the water.
Lauren Eusanio SENIOR NOVICE COACH - NCCP Level 1

As a previous competitive swimmer for over 10 years, Lauren swam at a number of different levels including Alberta Provincials, Alberta Championships, Alberta Summer Games, and Western Canadian Championships. Lauren recently graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology. She is thrilled to be a part of the coaching staff again this season while taking on a larger role within our club. With previous coaching experience at Young Aquatic Club and Head Coach experience with the Devon Dolphins Summer Club, Lauren is excited to continue sharing both her knowledge and passion for the sport of swimming with her swimmers. By placing an emphasis on the technique of all four strokes, Lauren hopes to support her swimmers by giving them the tools they need to progress through the swimming program. Being recognized as a balanced swimmer in all four strokes herself, she is eager to continue educating younger athletes on all that encompasses the sport of swimming while keeping things fun and exciting over the course of the season.
 


Sophia Dille

Sophia is a dedicated and accomplished swimmer who is making her coaching debut with Triton this season. With 7 years of swimming experience, she has already made a significant mark in the sport. Sophia holds a provincial record in the 50m backstroke and has competed in the Canadian Western Championships three times. She is passionate about coaching young athletes and finds great joy in helping them reach their potential and achieve their goals. Her enthusiasm and expertise make her a beloved member of Triton and role model for aspiring swimmers. We are excited to have Sophia as a Performance Swimmer AND Coach this season!

 

Brandy Secord

Brandy was a competitive swimmer with Red Deer Catalina Swim Club for over 10 years. She currently works with the City of Beaumont as a lifeguard/instructor. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Scott and has 2 children Wyatt and Aaralyn and a miniature dachshund named Chloe. Brandy has a passion for swimming and she aspires to teach any and all kids who want to learn to swim.

 
Effie Lockhart 
 
Effie swam competitively for eight years with the Yellowknife Polar Bear Swim Club, where she had the opportunity to represent the NWT at the 2017 Canada Summer Games. She is in her 3rd year at the University of Alberta Augustana, studying Physical Education and competing as a member of the varsity Nordic Sports team. Effie coached for four years with the Yellowknife Polar Bear Swim Club. For the past two years, she has been working with the Okotoks Stingrays Summer Swim Club while at university, first as an Assistant Coach and as Head Coach this past summer. She is a qualified Lifeguard and an NCCP 201 Trained Coach.
Effie is excited to begin her first season with Triton Swimming. Her goals are to help swimmers improve their technique in all four strokes, develop a strong work ethic, and learn to embrace challenges. 
 
 
Tanner Hales
 
Tanner is excited to join the Triton coaching staff this year as a Junior Coach. A Grade 11 student, he has been swimming with Triton for the past five years and is eager to bring his passion for the sport to the pool deck. As a lifelong swimmer, Tanner knows firsthand the rewards of hard work, dedication, and perseverance.
In his first year of coaching, he is especially looking forward to working with younger swimmers - helping them build skills, discover their love for the water, and realize that with effort and movement, they can achieve goals they may not have thought possible. Tanner brings energy, experience, and a deep appreciation for swimming, and he hopes to inspire others to enjoy the journey of growth and accomplishment in the sport.
